BluFish Wins Silver ADDY Award for Marshall Blues Festival at West Michigan AAF Show

Grand Rapids, MI – Feb. 28, 2025 – BluFish is proud to announce that it has won a Silver ADDY Award at the West Michigan American Advertising Federation (AAF) Awards, held on February 27th at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids. The award recognizes BluFish’s outstanding branding and poster design work for the Marshall Blues Festival.

“We are incredibly honored to have our work recognized at such a prestigious event, especially among so many talented professionals producing outstanding work for incredible brands,” said Ryan Traver, Owner of BluFish. “The Marshall Blues Festival has given us an amazing opportunity year after year, allowing us full creative freedom to develop unique and striking designs. Being awarded for that work is not only gratifying for our design team but also for our client, who trusts us to enhance their event’s visual identity.”

Traver also highlighted the significance of working on printed materials in an increasingly digital and video-focused industry. “With so much of our industry shifting towards digital and video content, having the opportunity to craft a beautiful printed piece is truly special. It’s not just about the design—it’s about choosing the perfect paper and inks to bring it to life. For this project, we selected a metallic paper to make the blue tones pop, and the signature mirrored sunglasses worn by Chris Canas from the headlining band tied the entire composition together.”

The ADDY Awards, hosted annually by the AAF, celebrate the best in advertising, design, and creative excellence. BluFish’s award-winning designs for the Marshall Blues Festival reflect the agency’s passion for crafting visually compelling and engaging brand identities.
